 In 1981, Frank Trulaske launched TRUE Fitness Technology, Inc. and began manufacturing high-quality, handcrafted treadmills. In the ensuing 26 years, TRUE has reached the pinnacle of the industry as one of the oldest, largest and most respected manufacturers of fitness products in the world.
Today, TRUE has more than 240,000 square feet of manufacturing, engineering, testing, warehouse, and office space located at our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. The latest addition to our facility is a state-of-the-art training and education center. This center was designed to provide leading edge sales and product training to our more than 500 U.S. dealers and offshore distributors that market our products in 70 countries worldwide.
This rapid ascent to the top of the fitness industry has been propelled by an unwavering obsession for quality and innovation. These traits permeate all facets of our operation, including an extensive product development process, exacting manufacturing standards, and stringent testing procedures.
We engineer everything to work together for optimum efficiency, manufacturing all critical parts and components ourselves to precise specifications. We stringently test our products, and have even developed a machine known as The Tread Buster to push our treadmills to the absolute limit. This rigorous process results in unmatched quality and durability, and an undeniably superior workout experience.
We've picked up more than a few awards along the way, too. Founder Frank Trulaske was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (1999) and The Fitness Industry Man of the Year (2000).
